Who can enter?
Any company with an active PdM program can enter. We expect that
you have been performing some sort of PdM for at least one year. If you
are just getting started – you should consider entering at this time
next year!
How much does it cost to enter? Nothing.
The fee is $0. Unlike other maintenance awards that charge
thousands of dollars, this is not a commercial activity – it
fulfills our mission to promote excellence in predictive maintenance. International entries are encouraged.
What do the winners get? Each winning
company will get a handsome award trophy, two Denim PdM Award Winner
shirts, a handsome Poster Board featuring your program to display at
work, two free passes to PdM-2008
The Predictive Maintenance Technology Conference, acknowledgement in
front of peers at the award presentation and an exclusive
invitation to a special winners award dinner. Winners are also invited
back to PdM-2009 with a free conference pass and a presentation
opportunity.
Who will judge the entries? The editorial
advisory board of Uptime Magazine is comprised of experts in each
specific technology area of predictive maintenance and condition
monitoring. Each entry will be judged by the editorial advisory board
in conjunction with the editor and publisher of Uptime Magazine.
What are companies that enter obligated to do? Entrants are requested to report requested
information as accurately as possible. Entrants should also be available
for follow up questions via telephone and email.
Winners agree to attend the Uptime
PdM Award ceremony (PdM-2008 Conference passes are
included in the award – travel and lodging expenses are not.) We

and awards presentation. Travel and lodging expenses are not included
and are the responsibility of the winners or the winners companies.
Most meals are included with the conference pass. The awards will be
announced on September 16 during the PdM-2008 conference and a
celebration dinner will be held as well.
Where will information about the award be
published? Uptime Magazine is part of the Reliabilityweb.com
network and will be the lead publisher.
What information about my company and my program
will be published? We would like to share as much information about
winning programs as possible and our editors will work with you to write
an acceptable description for the PdM Award issue (Oct/Nov 2008). A PdM
team photo and a facility photo are also desirable.
Will I have input and approval on published
information? Yes, we will not publish information without providing
an advanced copy to you for review and comment. If your company does
not wish to receive publicity – please do not enter this competition.
Remember the mission is to promote and acknowledge PdM best practices.
Without allowing some sort of publicity – this task becomes almost
impossible.
Do we have to disclose any company confidential
